Based in Vancouver Canada, Absolute Software is the new standard for endpoint visibility and control, delivering industry-leading endpoint security and IT asset management solutions to corporate, healthcare, government and educational organizations globally. The organization’s cloud-delivered solutions are underpinned by its unique self-healing Persistence™ technology that is embedded in the firmware of IT endpoints by 27 of the world’s leading PC manufacturers including Dell, HP and Lenovo. With revenues of nearly US$100 million, 12,000 customers and 500 employees, Absolute is on a trajectory to lead the endpoint visibility and control market.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and contributing as an integral part of the senior leadership team, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) leads the development of the human resources strategy for the organization and is the lead advisor to the business globally on all matters relating to people practices. Managing a geographically dispersed team, the position oversees the development and implementation of human resource programs and services including: Culture and Values; Change Management; Employer Branding; Internal Communications; Attraction and Retention; Performance Management; Total Compensation; Leadership Development and Succession Planning; Career Development and Learning; Employee Health and Wellness; and Employee Relations.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong leadership background, having operated at a strategic level in a global human resource function, along with a willingness to be hands-on and personally build relationships across all regions. In addition, the incumbent’s experience is enhanced by superb communication skills, business acumen and a sense of urgency that will help create a culture of outstanding value-added service.

A proven background in the technology sector, preferably with SAAS and enterprise software experience, the CHRO is recognized as a smart, polished, financially literate professional and business partner. Additionally, the CHRO will bring expertise working directly with boards of directors, ideally in a public company context. A post-secondary degree in business and a CHRP designation is also preferred.
