Purpose of Position:
Accountable for providing workforce planning, data analysis and reporting expertise and
services in support of overall Human Resources Department strategies, programs, policies and
initiatives and commitment to customer service.
 

Key Responsibilities:
* Provides workforce planning data analysis and reporting expertise, consultative advice and
services including: developing FSRA workforce demographic profiles and analyses
outlining risks, impacts, issues, trends and projections to support the assessment of
current and future capacity for service delivery in areas such as: staff strength, vacancy
management, succession planning, talent management, retirement projections etc.
*Works with HR management and colleagues to facilitate the integration of workforce
planning with all other department human resource programs, services and initiatives
including costing, coordination and mapping of workforce analytics resulting from new
organizational structures, reorganizations, staff transfers, secondments.
*Provides coaching and training to HR team and clients regarding workforce planning and
linkages with
overall human resources programs, services and initiatives.

*Provides project leadership, coordination and/or participation in the planning, research
and the introduction of workforce planning and analysis programs, services, policies and
continuous improvement initiatives including the development of tools, policies, supports
and processes for the introduction of innovative best practices to support critical change
for a modern and flexible work environment.
*Monitors, analyses and evaluates reports on each department’s workforce and provides
summary analyses and reports for inclusion to planning documents, Board presentations
and government submissions.
*Works in collaboration with colleagues across Human Resources on department priorities
for FSRA.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
*Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related field.
*4 – 6 years’ experience in the provision of workforce planning, analysis and reporting. .
*Specialized experience in workforce planning and linkages to human resources planning,
programs and services within an evolving organization and unionized environment.
Knowledge and Skills
*Knowledge and expertise in human resource theories, principles and best practices with a
focus on workforce planning and reporting and the use of human resources management
systems.
*Knowledge and interpretative understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Occupational
Health and Safety, WSIB).
*Proven customer service and partnership skills and a committed team player
*Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

Work involves minimal physical effort normally associated with a corporate office environment.
There is flexibility to change work activities, take a break or alter work position.
