POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist (CONTRACT)
REPORTS TO: Director, Human Resources
LOCATION: Toronto
LANGUAGE: Bilingual English and French
OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Your primary focus is to support the HR team, all SOCAN Business Units and affiliated companies during a transitional period. While operating under sound polices and the latest HR tools you will build solid working relationships with front line business leaders and support them in meeting their people and business strategies ensuring that best practices are followed.
The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate an ability to operate effectively in a complex environment, showing sound judgement, discretion and effective decision-making skills. You will apply these skills to areas such as organizational development, talent acquisition and development, employee relations and change management initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 – 7 years of progressive HR experience demonstrating knowledge of all functions of human resources including talent development, performance management, policy development, compensation, recruitment, employee relations and the ability to effectively leverage expertise to meet business requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field
- CHRP/CHRL
- Bilingual skills (French and English) is a MUST
- Knowledge of HR practices in US market a strong asset
- Knowledge of Ceridian’s HRMS “Dayforce” is an asset
- Project management skills are an asset
