We have been retained by Tempur Sealy for their  Senior Manager, Human Resources-Canada search who will be responsible for managing the human resources function nationally.  Reporting to the SVP HR, North America in the USA, with a dotted line reporting to the Managing Director,  Canada, he/she will be a strategic and energetic HR business partner who is hands on, highly results driven and collaborative.  There is one direct report.  The company is the world’s largest bedding provider with sales over $2.9 billion.  Their brands include Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, and Stearns & Foster.  The Canadian head office is located in Scarborough and has about 500 employees and two unions.  There are three manufacturing facilities located in Edmonton, St. Narcisse and Scarborough.  For additional information, please visit www.tempursealy.com.

The ideal profile would be:

    - Minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR Manager/Generalist experience including labor relations, recruiting, comp and benefits, succession planning, talent mgt. ideally from the consumer durable/manufacturing industry or general industrial environments;

-HRIS implementation experience.  ADP Advantage or Workday is a definite asset;

-Will  have worked in a union environment and participated/negotiated contracts;

-Strong knowledge and experience in Cdn. federal and provincial laws and regulations;

-Active leadership with a strong sense of ownership, project management and delivering on results;

-Ability to travel mainly to Cdn. plants and the US head office. (max travel is 30%) 

-Bachelor in Business, HR or other related fields.  HR designation is a definite asset.
