We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner to work with the Office in the Dean in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies for this exciting Contract opportunity.
Are you a Human Resources professional with experience working in a unionized environment? Do you possess at least 3-4 years’ of experience executing Human Resources generalist duties? Do you possess superior oral and written communication skills? Do you have knowledge of Human Resources theory and best practices? Do you possess experience working with collective agreements? In this role, you will act as a consultant and advisor on a wide range of HR/operational responsibilities. The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing advice, leadership, guidance and consultation to academic and administrative departments/schools with respect to recruitment, job evaluation, employee relations, training/orientation/onboarding, health and safety and other employee matters for YUSA and YUSA2 staff. The incumbent addresses issues of violence, harassment and accommodation of full and limited term staff, faculty and students.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in human resources; CHRP required; Health and Safety Certification would be an asset. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess 3 to 4 years’ related experience as an HR generalist in a unionized environment, as well as experience working with collective agreements and providing advice on applications, along with experience in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, training, health and safety, orientation and onboarding of non-academic staff.
