We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Operations to work with Office of the Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies for this exciting opportunity.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, integrating and executing academic support operations and client service strategies and processes that directly support the Faculty in achieving its short and long-term goals. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with their team and leaders from across LA&PS to foster a culture of excellence and inclusion that will attract, retain, develop and motivate qualified and engaged employees. In this capacity, the Associate Director has accountability for the Faculty’s academic support operational processes, and workforce planning and development within the academic Departments, Schools and Colleges. The Associate Director, Operations is accountable for the effective leadership and oversight of academic support operations for the Faculty. The Associate Director provides coaching, guidance and leadership to the Operations Managers team and their staff. Responsible for working closely with the Executive Director, Strategy & Administration to develop strategic goals and for working with their team to ensure goals and results are achieved with a client service focus and an emphasis on responsive, high-impact student-centered service delivery.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A University Degree in business, finance, human resources management, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. The Certified Human Resources Leader/Professional (CHRL/CHRP) professional designation is an asset. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience fostering and leading inclusive, results oriented teams, preferably within an academic environment or other comparable public sector unionized environment. Experience with strategic planning, budgeting and financial management, and development and streamlining of policies and procedures is required. Demonstrated experience managing within a unionized environment is required. Experience working with human resources management, labour relations, and policies and procedures within a Faculty and/or academic environment is preferred.
