About the Employer

Established in 2011, the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) was created to enhance academic pathways and reduce barriers for students looking to transfer among Ontario’s 45 publicly funded colleges and universities. As a member organization, ONCAT works with those institutions to develop transfer credit policies and practices to ease student mobility.

About the Position

ONCAT is seeking ongoing Human Resources Consulting support to provide guidance to the Executive Team on employee relations issues, compensation structure, development, training, recruitment, HR policies and procedures and health and safety. Our organization is a not-for-profit with 10 employees and an executive team that consists of 1 Executive Director and 3 Directors.

The Human Resources Consultant will be hired as an independent contractor and will not be an ONCAT employee.

Qualifications

  • Five to ten years of HR consulting experience, where the primary areas include compensation, job design, training, recruitment, employee relations, and HR policy review
  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources
  • CHRP or CHRL designation preferred
  • Experience supporting HR functions in non-profit organizations and/or organizations with less than 25 employees
  • Experience developing training programs to employees on respectful workplace matters and AODA.
  • Experience with employee surveys
  • Expertise in HR governance, legislation and regulatory environment in order to identify issues and appropriately consult with executive team and employees
  • Demonstrated business acumen and consulting skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching and facilitation skills
