Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Consultant is responsible for guiding the development and implementation of strategies and programs related to organizational development. Championing your knowledge and expertise, your portfolio will include but not limited to: organizational learning and development, performance management, leadership programming and employee engagement. The Consultant will work to drive a learning and leadership culture in an effort to continuously improve strategic initiatives and enhance organizational performance and effectiveness.

  • Collaborates with members of the Human Resources team to support and develop programs that enhance organizational engagement and effectiveness
  • Consults with departments and divisions to diagnose team dynamics upon request; develops and implements suitable interventions through thorough analysis to enhance team functioning and productivity
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of organizational development programs and resolves identified issues or concerns while measuring and evaluating positive impact
  • Promotes and leads employee engagement programs and initiatives, drives employee participation, analyzes and presents results, and provides recommendations on identified opportunities for improvement
  • Leads the design and implementation of leadership development programming and initiatives to support current leaders and future leaders within the organization
  • Guides the design and delivery of learning and development programs to address organizational needs and ensure our talented people continue to learn and develop
  • Executes learning and development strategies utilizing a blend of formal classroom learning, online, coaching and on-the-job development
  • Promotes, manages, and reviews performance management programs while creating a culture of accountability and continuous development
  • Creates and implements succession planning and workforce programs to initiate key people strategies
  • Maintains and promotes effective change management practices to build resilient and change adept teams
  • Works within and prepares an operating budget that supports organizational development initiatives
  • Promotes a positive work culture; acts as a change leader, and invests in professional development through coaching and performance management


  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Professional human resources designation desired
  • A minimum of 4 years' strategic HR experience managing broad HR functions – people, engagement, learning, talent and culture
  • Experience designing, implementing, and leading organization-wide learning and development initiatives
  • Leadership skills with emphasis on systems thinking, communication and change management
  • Experience with adult learning principles, instructional design techniques, online learning, assessments, and evaluation methodologies
  • Experience with learning management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate well with staff and faculty at all levels within the organization
  • Advanced level project management skills with experience managing large scale organizational-wide projects
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the persistence to implement best practices and create necessary buy in
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with shifting priorities and high workload
  • Ability to build realistic plans and budgets
  • Strong communication, coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills
