Reporting to the Director, Strategic Talent Management and working in partnership with colleagues across the organization, the Senior Manager, Organizational Development and Learning is responsible for developing and delivering innovative solutions to build the talent capabilities required to deliver on our exciting mandate.

You will provide senior functional and strategic leadership to enterprise-wide talent management programs and services with an aim to contribute toward Metrolinx’s “Best Place to Work” strategy. A service-focused, transformational, thought leader, you are adept at building a high-performance culture and delivering superior results. You will create and manage comprehensive and effective talent programs in the areas of , organization development, leadership  development, succession planning, performance management and recognition.

As Senior Manager of Organizational Development and Learning, you’ll support the design and integration of a framework to identify key individual performance attributes (i.e. tasks, activities, competencies, and results) and translate its application into exceptional business performance. Your inclusive and engaging leadership style will enable successful partnerships with the business in building and developing a competent and productive workforce. Cognizant of the relationship between strong talent management and business success, you’ll be a key driver to the organizational effectiveness at a systems level through continual examination and alignment of organizational structures and design at the enterprise level, as well as through career planning, feedback programs and individual growth programs

You are a confident and persuasive communicator at the leadership and executive levels and are equally effective at educating and influencing other leaders and stakeholders regarding talent development initiatives. Your critical thinking and superior writing skills enable you to synthesize data and present your findings confidently to executives and Board members. You welcome the opportunity to develop client-focused talent management solutions using your stakeholder management and project management skills, enabling you to manage multiple projects, evaluate stakeholder performance, while successfully leading and executing on talent management projects and initiatives.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources or a related discipline/equivalent. This is complemented by approximately 15 years’ experience in key areas of talent management, including ideally, 10 years in a leadership capacity. A Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset. This senior role will also benefit from your knowledge of relevant Canadian HR legislation,
