PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development & Training the Organizational Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the development and implementation of organizational development activities including but not limited to Succession Planning and People Focused strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting research, drafting reports and materials to support the implementation of organizational development activities.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess:
• University degree in the social sciences or business, along with a minimum of 2 years-experience coordinating organizational development activities, preferably in a unionized environment
• Practical experience gathering and summarizing information as well as composing publications, presentations, communication materials and reports
• Knowledge of foundational organizational behavior principles and practices, evaluation practices and experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
• Demonstrated tact, diplomacy and ability to handle and protect confidential/private information
• Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills as well as sound judgement
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team
• Strong computer skills in Excel (including developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF editor and survey development software
