Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists
  • Develop and execute the Recruitment strategy in conjunction with the AVP and VP, Human Resources 
  • Manage and contribute strategic ideas regarding the full cycle recruitment process for all open roles: job postings, resume screening, phone screens, interview scheduling and participation 
  • Work in partnership with internal leadership team to ensure an efficient and effective hiring process is being followed; acts as a consultant to internal clients to ensure appropriate recruitment strategies are being implemented.
  • Track and maintain recruiting metrics and data for the Senior leadership team, using such data to identify gaps, and opportunities in the recruiting process
  • Develop and incorporate recruitment analytics that position leaders to make fact-based decisions around the development of the Talent Team, attraction and selection of top talent across all depts, and continuous process improvement
  • Review and development of current and future strategic partnerships  (recruiting firms, recruitment platforms, etc.)
  • Participate in regional or global recruitment projects specific to enhancing our Talent Acquisition programs and candidate experience.
  • Support the HR team through active participation in ad hoc meetings, training and other project assignments;
  • Strategically forecast staffing levels and meet with department leaders quarterly to understand needs and requirements.
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with employment, legislative and immigration law
  • Advise management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs
  • Assist HR Leadership in preparing forecasts and projecting yearly recruitment expenditures 
  • Keep current in strategic recruitment trends and identify opportunities to leverage best practices and tools
  • Own employer branding initiatives for “Careers” and “Inside Geotab” with the Marketing team to enhance our recruiting strategy
  • Create and maintain partnerships with agencies and manage contracts and relationships
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
  • Provide meaningful recruiting metrics, reports and analytics to business leads
  • Manage requests from multiple clients and stakeholders
  • Manage, mentor and coach a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 8-10+ years experience as a Human Resources Professional with proven experience in Managing full cycle recruitment
  • 5+ years experience in a management/leadership position
  • CHRP, CHRL designation an asset
  • Experience in technology related field highly preferred.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and employment branding
  • Understanding of all selection methods and techniques
  • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
  • Willingness to understand the duties and competencies of different roles
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and databases
  • Excellent communicator

  • BS/BA in business administration, human resources or relevant field
