Human Resources COORDINATOR

What We Will Ask of You: As a key member of our Central Administration team, our HR Coordinator plays an important role.  On most days you’ll be overseeing your assigned business units and maintaining the workflow of each in accordance with the HR strategy. You’ll also be providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to our staff to support their HR related requests.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Benefits: Maintain enrollment and changes, review service agreements, support inquires
  • Compensation: Support Job Evaluation results, prepare hiring and position change documents
  • Attendance Management: Support the Accommodation and Return to Work process, support staff on Leaves of Absence as well as the Program Manager, correspond with WSIB as required
  • Recruitment: Create job postings, screen resumes, on-board Placement Students, check references and conduct one month new staff check-ins
  • Training: oversee First Aid Training, Health and Safety training, and support program training requests
  • Policy: track and update revisions to policies, support the creation of new policies
  • HRIS: support data migration and maintenance
  • Other: Support Health and Safety efforts, plan Agency events

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of University degree in HRM, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • CHRP or CHRL is preferred
  • CEBS and/or CCP designation preferred or in progress
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects and providing customer service
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized with an excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task and take initiative
  • Work experience in social service sector is an asset
