About Our Client:

Our client is a leading financial technology organization.

 

Position Scope:

The Senior Compensation Consultant will ensure the organization’s compensation programs support the business’ strategies and align to the total rewards philosophy. They will be accountable for providing analysis, modelling, advice and governance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an equitable job evaluation process and governance and report on the organization's position with respect to pay equity
  • Gather and analyze benchmark data from various survey sources
  • Lead the participation and analysis of compensation market surveys, ensuring integrity of submissions and provide recommendations based on results and develop presentation materials
  • Participate in organizational design activities
  • Complete job evaluations on new or reclassified roles
  • Review benchmark market data, including internal equity, to provide expert advice to the HR team and leadership team regarding compensation issues (i.e. external offers, job descriptions, and promotions)
  • Administer the annual merit cycle and short-term incentive program including analyzing data, developing processes, tools, guidelines and communications
  • Lead the review and evaluation of current programs and assist in developing compensation programs/practices that will advance the organization’s total rewards offerings
  • Provide strong analytical support that considers internal equity, market data and affordability
  • Research and analyze total rewards trends, best practices and issues related to the business, using information to assist in the design and continuous improvement of total rewards policies and programs aimed at improving attraction and retention
  • Manage various projects for the department

 

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy focused
  • Strong numeric skill set
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical and research skills
  • Experience with Executive and/or Sales Compensation
  • Advanced MS Excel skills  
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English (bilingualism in French is an asset)

 

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience would also be considered
  • CCP designation is considered an asset
  • 7+ years of Human Resources experience
  • 5+ years of specialized experience in compensation
