Reporting to the Director - Talent Management, the HRSP - Talent will champion existing talent activities and deliver key elements of the ultimate employee experience, through attracting and welcoming the right person at the right time.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attract Talent

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to include professional networking, direct sourcing, employee referrals, and social advertising.
  • Reinforce our culture and GSC Behaviours by ensuring everyone who joins our team has these engrained in their DNA.
  • Work with various stakeholders to lead the development of GSC employer branding, ensuring our employer brand is industry represented.
  • Lead the charge on the planning and implementation of various technologies to accelerate and optimize Talent Acquisition.
  • Develop long term relationships with key partners and develop contracts with agency partners when needed.
  • Build key talent pipelines through continuous sourcing and attending relevant industry conferences, professional group meetings and other events to target top talent.

Welcome Talent

  • Work with HR team to transform existing on-boarding programs to welcome new talent and align the recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Use communication tools to drive the development of internal GSC ambassadors, beginning day one.

Report on Talent

  • Create processes for collecting and communicating key business indicators (including annual budgeting process) for Talent Acquisition to transform TA as a key enabler to our corporate plan and business success.
  • Work with HR team to sustain Strategic Workforce Planning and Headcount Summary initiatives.

At times, travel within Canada will be required to accomplish what’s outlined above.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have obtained a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration or related degree.
  • Your 3+ years of experience have developed you into a Talent Acquisition professional through and through.  You’ve seen it before and you know how to translate the vision you see for our Talent Acquisition success into actionable plans.
  • You are passionate about technology. You keep up with the latest in the HR tech space and are a super-user of key tools and platforms.
  • You love data, dashboards and metrics and can build communications for the business that support informed decisions.
  • You can assess complex situations, make pragmatic recommendations that make great business sense and execute well.
  • You treat external partners and suppliers as extensions of our team.  You have long term relationships you can bring and you can build relationships with key partners we already have.
  • Your bilingualism in French/English would be considered an asset.
