This is an exceptional opportunity for a champion of workforce diversity, equity and inclusion to join the People, Equity and Human Rights Division and play a critical role within the City of Toronto, Canada’s largest and most culturally diverse city.

As Senior HR Consultant (Diversity, Inclusion & Next Generation Recruitment), you will be instrumental in ensuring that Strategic Recruitment practices and processes support and embrace diversity and promote a culture of inclusion. A best practices leader with specialized knowledge of Employment Equity, diversity, accessibility and inclusion, you will ensure the alignment of diversity and early career recruitment initiatives with the current and emerging needs of the organization. You will also partner with key stakeholders and take a lead role in informing and implementing the Strategic Recruitment Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan to train and support recruiters and hiring managers in increasing workforce diversity, including consultation and education to ensure diversity outreach priorities are integrated within TPS recruitment processes.

In particular, you worked with a variety of stakeholders and acted as a leader/supervisor, coaching, motivating and training staff. You have successfully planned, developed and implemented diversity-focused recruitment programs, initiatives and training to educate and meet the talent needs of a large, complex organization.

Underpinning these achievements is a post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a Human Resources and/or Inclusion & Diversity field, preferably within a large, complex organization or equivalent. A CHRL or other relevant professional designation/certificate, completed or in progress, is an asset.
