Social Enterprise for Canada is currently seeking candidates for the position of:
Senior Director, Human Resources
Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Director, Human Resources will work within the executive leadership team to develop and implement people strategies that are aligned with strategic business plans and support a performance driven organization. This role provides leadership and oversight to maintain and improve the organization’s human resources by providing expertise across the key functional areas of HR including but not limited to: employee engagement, staffing and retention, Health & Safety, talent management, training and development, change management, compliance, policy development and compensation analysis.
Location: SEC Head Office - 17705 Leslie Street Unit 11, Newmarket ON
Schedule: flexible schedule of 2 days per week, additional hours may be required based on business needs
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 annually (salary based on Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) hours)
Terms of Employment: Contract to March 31, 2020. Renewal dependent on continued funding and satisfactory performance
Education:
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, Human Resources Management OR relevant experience in the field
- CHRL designation required
Related Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of 10 years HR leadership experience, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
- Experience within the public service industry preferred
Other:
- Current Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid Driver’s License and/or access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various program sites as needed for meetings, trainings, and/or presentations
