                            HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

 

 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE & SCOPE

Direct, administer, coordinate and monitor all human resource activities and company policies in support of the goals, objectives and culture established by the Senior Executive Leadership Team including employment practices, Health & Safety, benefits, employee relations, training, performance management, and general employee services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, recommend, implement and maintain the following key elements & responsibilities:

HR Policies & Practices: Ensure that employees have access to the most current policies and practices. Champion the development and implementation of approved organizational best practices with all departmental management.

Leader Support & Coaching: Provide support & advisement to all managers & supervisors regarding best practices in employee relations

Compensation & Benefits: administer all compensation programs, ensuring equity, transparent non-discriminatory pay and market competitiveness. Ensure Compensation Programs align with performance and culture.

Recruitment & Selection: assist in the recruitment and planning of staffing levels based on turnover, growth and succession.

Northland Culture:  Works collaboratively to establish and maintain an open, healthy & two-way communications flow throughout the company, including nurturing a healthy operating culture. Ongoing monitoring of Northland‚ÄĚs values, norms and employee satisfaction

HR Administration: Create & maintain all employee records required to ensure compliance with all laws and local governing bodies, including Privacy & Confidentiality. Provide useful & timely information to Leadership regarding current trends and legislation such as Employment Standards, Labour Relations, H&S and ensure policies and practices comply

Performance & Training: implement and administer all standardized performance appraisal systems and individual and group training & development programs

Health & Safety: Manage the entire Health & Safety Program, design, recommend and implement practices and programs in full compliance with legislation and best practices.

Employee Support: Provide support and advisement to all employees as required. Assist directly & indirectly in conflict resolution, incident investigation and issue resolution

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

 Post-Secondary degree/diploma                                    CHRP designation preferred

 5 or more years working in Human Resources               Strong organizational skills

 Excellent communication skills
