Human Resources Manager

As a member of our Human Resources team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. Facilitating the process of analyzing operational issues and formulating goals and action plans to achieve company objectives.

  • Assisting with the development of the HR strategy and leading the HR team to achieve the strategy and translating the impact via measurable results.
  • Managing the HR team performance by communicating job expectations and tracking progress of individual activities and effectiveness.

  • Supporting the business in change management activities at the organizational level.

  • Managing the recruitment process for the organization. This includes managing the team responsible for full cycle recruitment and participating in the recruitment process, as required.

  • Leading management in the performance management processes with their employees.

  • Leading the investigation and resolution of employee and manager complaints, issues, and concerns regarding employment practices.

  • Managing the compensation system, to ensure internal equity. Participating in external salary surveys and benchmarking exercises and gathering other market data to ensure salary ranges are up-to-date.

  • Accomplishing financial objectives by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information and forecasting requirements to prepare and administer an annual budget and schedule expenditures.

If this opportunity sounds interesting, and you meet the following requirements, you might be the person we’re looking for. We need someone who has:

  • A university degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology or a related subject.

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in employee relations and organizational development including three years of management experience.

  • A minimum of one to three years’ experience in recruitment and selection, performance appraisal management, change management, and benefits and payroll administration.

  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation or commitment to complete CHRL designation.

  • Experience working with relevant legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, the Human Rights Code, the Employment Equity Act, the Pay Equity Act and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel functions and HRIS is required.
