Who you are
You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to business lines for many areas including employee engagement, performance management, training and development, orientation and onboarding and diversity. You will also be responsible for handling employee questions and requests, always ensuring to resolve issues in a timely manner with the appropriate documentation. You will also support People Services Managers through performance management issues; coaching managers, conducting investigations and handling of terminations. You will develop job descriptions, conduct exit interviews, and provide employment law information to managers and employees upon request. You will also be responsible for developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
What you bring
-
Degree and/or diploma in Human Resources
-
4-6 years Human Resources experience in a similar role
-
Broad range of experience with HR programs and policies
-
Strong computer skills with previous experience working with MS Office programs
-
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task; and exemplary communication skills
-
Knowledge of current HR related federal, provincial, and local legislation and regulations
Bonus skills and experience
-
A CHRP designation would be considered an asset
-
Experience working in a multi-location matrixed organization would be an asset
-
Ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team
-
Ability to demonstrate good judgment and a high level of professionalism.

Maintains a high degree of discretion and confidentiality; uses diplomacy, discretion, and judgment in giving out information
