This position is for Magna Lighting- Autosystems America, a division of Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting.

Provides support to the Human Resources Department and assists in the development of policies/ procedures and objectives that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.  Some of the duties of this position include the following:
Maintain a positive employee relations environment, as Governed by Magna's Employee Charter, by providing guidance to employees and assisting with the resolution of employee concerns by utilizing available resources;
Provide direction and support to employees within the HR Department;
Develop KPI's for the HR Department;
Develop and monitor performance measurables for employees within the HR Department;
Assist with pay equity plans on an annual basis;
Assist with annual compensation plan;
Identify training requirements for employees;
Oversee the job opportunity process for internal and external recruitment opportunities;
Provide performance management direction and support to Managers/ Supervisors;
Develop HR policies/ procedures;
Participate in employee meetings to communicate information to employees.

Human Resources Certificate or Business Administration required;
previous HR related experience in some or all of the following areas:  benefits administration, conflict resolution, policy development, employment laws, workers compensation, compensation, progressive discipline.CHRP/ CHRL would be an asset.

familiar with HRIS software;
ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality;
strong organizational skills;
self-starter with the ability to prioritize many different tasks;
familiar with various employment laws and practices;
effective oral and written communication skills;
excellent interpersonal skills;
ability to gather and analyze information;
ability to work independently and also as part of a team;
ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
English - reading & writing
Ability to work with numbers with accuracy
Effective trouble shooting for a variety of different situations/concerns effectively

ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor; 
ability to work at a computer workstation;
ability to bend, twist, lift, reach;
ability to work flexible hours and overtime;
ability to travel locally.
