Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer you will work with an amazing team of 100+ employees. You will provide a wide range of services related to human resources including: HR policies, recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, disability management, benefits, and training and development. As the stand-alone HR resource, your focus will include:
- Guiding and facilitating change consistent with business strategies ensuring a positive employee experience
- Providing day-to-day support to managers and employees on all HR related matters
- Policy and procedure administration ensuring company HR protocols are upheld
- Leading the full cycle recruitment process to ensure the hiring of high-quality new employees
- Manage all employee relations issues, with a focus on attendance, including conducting investigations and recommending corrective actions
- Partnering with benefits provider to ensure coordination of benefits
- Disability management including WSIB, Short Term Disability and unpaid Leave of Absences
- Facilitating training and development through creation of policies and programs
- Assessing and managing compliance needs including required statutory/regulatory reporting requirements
- Managing multiple priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment
You Are
- An exceptional communicator with great interpersonal and consulting skills
- An Initiator and take action relying on your own interpretation because of your hands-on experience and understanding of the situation

- Reliable and the team can depend on you in all aspects of the job
You have:
- A College diploma or University degree in Human Resources
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on employee relations
- Experience developing return to work programs
- Experience in all core HR functions with understanding of best practices and their applicability
- Understanding of the needs of a rapidly growing organization
- Comprehensive understanding of local and provincial employment laws
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations
- Strong organizational sills and capable of prioritizing conflicting demands
- Positive energy and a sense of humor
It Would Be Great if You Had
- CHRP designation
- Understanding of the Cannabis Act
