The Compensation team is accountable for developing, implementing and communicating the executive and broad-based compensation programs across all of Rogers (Communications Group and Media) in order to drive performance, and improve the ability to attract and retain talent.  We design programs and solutions that promote internal equity, market competitiveness and performance differentiation.  In addition, we develop systems and processes that improve manager and employee experience. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Compensation. 

What you will be doing: 

  • HR Committee of the Board Material
    • Analyzing and modelling data for new plan designs and plan changes
    • Preparing regular review items from data gathering to updating presentation material
    • Gathering input from multiple contributors while managing timelines
    • Completing other activities to ensure a smooth meeting including: planning review meeting schedule, updating calendar, drafting initial agenda, updating materials, and posting final material for Committee members
  • Information Circular
    • Gathering data and completing tables for Executive Compensation section
    • Updating materials as required
    • Working with internal teams and Auditors on data validation
  • Long-Term Incentive Plans
    • Leading grant and payout cycles
    • Peer reviewing transactions prepared by Solium Administrator
    • Working with Finance team and Auditors to ensure reporting requirements are met
  • Relocation
    • Leading the vendor-managed relocation program
  • Working to continually identify and implement process improvements in all areas

What you have: 

  • A University degree/ College diploma in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Compensation within a large organization or consulting firm with experience in Executive Compensation
  • The ability to produce accurate, high-quality, well-presented material suitable for review by senior executives and Board members
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, planning and organization skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel skills
  • The ability to: work independently, manage multiple deliverables/deadlines, be flexible and adaptable, and work in a complex, changing work environment
