Specific Job Description:

As part of the HR Talent and Organizational Capability team, and working in partnership with HR colleagues, subject matter experts, and leaders across the organization, you will support and/or lead the development and implementation of value-add solutions in areas of talent management, employee/leadership and organizational development.  You may also support the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion efforts.
 
You will: 

  • Contribute to the development of talent management initiatives and drive adoption of practices that facilitate talent identification, knowledge continuity and succession planning efforts to ensure a robust talent pipeline and enhance company performance.  This includes developing or supporting business unit and functional talent review and succession planning processes; identifying developmental needs, maintaining talent information, and developing value add metrics and reports.  You may be involved in the development of processes, programs and approaches to support career development and implementation of competencies and values framework
  • Assist in identifying/assessing learning needs of the Canada businesses and, as required, design/develop, and evaluate training
  • Participate in the facilitation of employee and/or leadership programs, virtually and in person, drawing upon a wide variety of techniques to ensure engagement, knowledge transfer, and skill development, as well as efficient and fun learning
  • Keep abreast of training and development research: learning and motivation theories, and new materials, methods, and techniques, and make recommendations for improvement on current Canada programs/initiatives
  • Assess business issues, design strategic plans and implement programs to enhance company performance, increase productivity, and customer satisfaction.

 

This may include:

  • Conducting organizational assessments and interventions to improve team performance
  • Leading/ facilitating design and implementation of reengineering and/or reorganization efforts
  • Advising on team design and performance
  • Leading change management initiatives or providing guidance for change management efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Talent & Organizational Capability.

 

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ability to navigate and work through ambiguity and complexity. Demonstrate agility and resilience in working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills; ability to Ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relationships
  • Highly effective communication skills (written, non-written)
  • Demonstrated group facilitation, training delivery, and presentation skills
  • Proven project management skills and working knowledge of change management principles
  • 4 + years progressive experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development, with a focus on leading and/or supporting the design, development, and implementation of organization-wide talent management, OD, and leadership development initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business, or other related field; or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English; Bilingualism (English-French) preferred.

  • ProSci certification
  • Insights Discovery Practitioner Certification
  • Working knowledge of competency models, career mapping and development planning processes, assessments, coaching and mentoring techniques
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in learning, leadership development, and human capital management (HCM) systems.
