Interested in the day to day duties? The role includes a combination of the following:

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the candidate pipeline and lead the full hiring process for all departments
  • Support and execute hiring managers requirements
  • Provide an efficient and excellent candidate experience for every candidate from application to offer.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings with third party vendors.
  • Develop and maintain all job descriptions, job postings and review and respond to all applicants in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update candidate records to ensure that we are compliant under the law.
  • Identify new and creative ways to engage high-potential candidates in the market today.
  • Advance employment branding initiatives such as job fairs, recruiting events and working with the Communications and Marketing teams on media and digital campaigns.
  • Work with management to provide frequent updates on where current talent is spending time to identify hiring needs.
  • Manage and apply for job grants & funding opportunities
  • Develop and implement health & safety programs and policies & procedures to support a strong culture of safety.
  • Build long-term relationships with key universities, colleges and partners to develop our recent graduate pipeline and internships.
  • Schedule new hire orientation with candidate and key staff members
  • Recommend changes as required.
  • Administrative initiatives as required.

What's your background?

  • Desired Skills and Experience
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter
  • Relevant post-secondary education (human resource management or business degree)
  • A minimum of 1-3 years in human resource management role
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to take care of details while managing multiple tasks and working under time constraints
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
  • Ability to utilize creative sourcing techniques to include industry associations, school partnerships, social media, cold calling, referrals, etc.
  • A good understanding of the latest trends in hiring and the association management industry (an asset but not required)
