DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Recruitment, selection and retention of employees
  • Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Administration of payroll, compensation, benefits and employee performance programs
  • Coordination of all matters related to health and safety, environmental programs, and other government required certifications
  • Management of WSIB, LTD claims and return to work program
  • Legal compliance of federal and provincial regulations and applicable employment laws
  • Assistance to ISO team, and special project team as needed 
  • Organization of company functions
  • Responsible for general office administrative duties including supervision of Administrative Clerk (or equivalent)
  • Assistance to CFO as required

WORK CONDITIONS & ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Work Conditions:  Fast-paced environment; High Volume, Tight deadlines

Essential Skills: Problem solving; Critical thinking; Excellent Writing and Oral communication; Job task prioritizing; Good organizational skill

Technical Skills: MS office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.), ADP WFN (or equivalent), Visual ERP (or equivalent).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related studies
  • Minimum 3 years HR experience in a small manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Payroll and Benefit administration – ADP WFN
  • Working knowledge of ESA, WSIB, Human Rights and OSHA
  • CHRP designation considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & written skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Team player
