Human Resources Generalist

Torkin Manes has an exciting new position for a junior-level HR professional wanting to take the next step in their HR career. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting law student and staff talent acquisition activities, staff on-boarding and off-boarding processes, the maintenance of accurate up-to-date HR electronic filing systems and personnel records, HRIS training and administration,  and other administrative duties as may be required in supporting the internal processes of the HR team.

What you offer:

• University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field
• CHRP designation, or in progress
• 3-5 years of related experience, with specific experience in conducting full-cycle recruitment and selection
• Solid knowledge of Human Resources best practices, policies, procedures and employment-related legislation such as the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Passionate advocate of Human Resources best practice; strong business acumen

• Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP WorkForce Now); and a strong user ability in using  Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and use discretion with highly confidential material
• Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with excellent interpersonal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
