We are looking for a highly responsible individual to manage our Human Resources. This person would be responsible for implementation of the firms Employment Policies, including but not limited to performance evaluation and management, structural communication, and workflow planning including succession, vacation, and personal time coverage. The Human Resource Manager is responsible to ensure all management decisions made align to our values, and uphold our culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Managing Partner in ensuring the goals for the firm are well developed and communicated.
  • Maintain a communication structure for Staff, including:
  • Monthly group meetings
  • Monthly individual Check In’s/Mentorship Meetings
  • Yearly Wage Assessments
  • Positive and Negative Behavior reinforcement through performance review and evaluation.
  • Manage the firm workflows, ensuring all Lawyers and Staff are aware of requirements and expectations.  
  • Manage Training in conjunction with the Office Manager
  • Assign staff to train other staff using manual found in Worlddox
  • Manage the social aspects of the firm, ensuring important life events are celebrated.
  • In conjunction with the Office Manager, ensure thorough on boarding of new staff, and off boarding of old staff is completed.
  • Develop and maintain a Succession Planning Model for all staff positions in the firm, including partner’s assistants.
  • Manage the Mentorship Program for the firm, ensuring all Associates fully benefit from the experience of all Partners in the firm.
  • Priority Consideration will be given to candidates with:
    • A degree or diploma focusing on Human Resources.
    • Minimum of five years’ experience in the Human Resource field.  

    This is a daily, half time position. The hours are varied, and will be decided on with the successful candidate. Novus offers a competitive salary range and an excellent benefit plan.
