EXECUTIVE MANAGER of HUMAN RESOURCES

Reporting to the Director of Education, the successful applicant will manage the operations of the Department of Human Resource Services. This position will sit as part of the board’s senior leadership team and will be responsible for the supervision of the following teams:

 Human Resource Services
 Payroll Services
 Health & Safety Services (Including Disability Management)

Key responsibilities of this position will include promoting positive labour relations by assisting in the daily administration of the Board’s Collective Agreements; facilitating the resolution of disputes; grievances; conflict resolution; conduct research among public and private organizations on salary and working conditions to ensure the Board maintains its level of competitiveness; coordinate the Board’s job evaluation program, including the development of position descriptions and facilitating the job rating process. This person will also act as Chief Spokesperson for collective bargaining.

The successful candidate requires a passion for life-long learning and a relevant post-secondary degree in Labour Relations or Human Resource Management combined with a CHRP designation. Candidates will have progressive senior human resources management experience in a unionized environment; demonstrate excellent leadership, management, interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is a progressive Board serving the educational needs of approximately 4,600 students in eleven elementary and two secondary schools. Situated two hours north of Toronto, along the eastern shore of Lake Huron and southern Georgian Bay, the scenic counties of Bruce and Grey offer year-round outdoor family and individual activities.
