In this role you will be responsible for the oversight and management of all Human Resources functions for Facilities Services, Ancillary Services and the Community Safety Department. You will be responsible for strategic Human Resources planning in support of Facilities Services, Ancillary Services, Community Safety requirements and University objectives identifying and developing strategies to meet present and future human resource needs. You will be accountable for the development, implementation and on-going review of policies and processes which ensure the effective and cost efficient use of human resources across the three departments. You will act as a subject matter expert to central Human Resources related to the local requirements/issues/impacts of the development of University Human Resources programs, policies and procedures and their implementation, ensuring that both University and local requirements are achieved.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

A University degree in Human Resources or Business Administration / Management or equivalent as well as knowledge of relevant legislation (Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.) and associated guidelines. CHRP / CHRL accreditation preferred/actively pursuing accreditation. In addition, you will bring a minimum of 7 years of progressively senior managerial experience in Human Resources in a unionized environment as it is required. You will bring experience in leading and influencing high levels of performance, engagement and trust at all levels. Experience in change and project management preferred.
