Smith + Andersen is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve as a business partner to the Smith + Andersen group of companies. The HR Generalist supports HR practices and initiatives to further enhance an employee-oriented, high performance culture that promotes empowerment, quality, standards and talent development. The HR Generalist will lead a wide range of Human Resources activities including: talent acquisition, organizational learning, talent development and employee engagement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources professional who is collaborative, results-driven and innovative to join a growing HR team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment strategy, creating innovative recruitment strategies that attract strong talent. Assess, create and implement best practices for recruitment processes and candidate sourcing. Partner with HR team members to screen, test and interview qualified candidates.
  • Contribute to the HR strategy and assist with identifying and building HR programs, processes and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives related to company culture and retention of talent.
  • Develop project plans on a wide variety of HR initiatives, where required drive appropriate interventions and ensure successful implementation.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing learning needs throughout the Smith + Andersen group of companies. Participate in the development of national learning and leadership programs.
  • Participate in the implementation and management of the company's Learning Management System.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment and human resources.
  • 5+ years’ experience in HR program management including development, planning and rollout for the implementation of HR programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent project management capabilities with demonstrated ability to execute complex organizational wide HR program implementation.
  • Self-starter
  • Knowledge of best practices to attract candidates to build talent pipelines.
  • High degree of proficiency in all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System.
  • Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, conceptual, and planning skills.
  • Experience working with learning management systems.
  • Ability to navigate and work through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Experience managing several projects simultaneously both independently and with groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree and CHRP/CHRL
