In this role you will support York University Libraries in the provision of a wide range of operational, generalist Human Resources responsibilities. You will act as a resource to central Human Resources in the development and implementation of Libraries and Human Resources programs, policies and procedures ensuring that both University and departmental requirements are achieved. You will contribute and play a key role in the strategic planning process, and will provide support with the EO to the Dean of Libraries Office (DLO), for identifying and developing strategies to meet the Library’s current and future human resource requirements to meet the Library’s operational requirements.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
A University degree in Human Resources or Business Management or equivalent is required. Human Resources training/certification is preferred, as is CHRP / CPHR certification. Conflict resolution training/certification is considered an asset. In addition, you will bring a minimum of 4 years generalist human resources experience in a unionized environment (including experience working with business leaders in a consultative capacity). You will bring experience administering and applying collective bargaining agreements as this is required. Experience in organizational development, change management, continuous process improvement initiatives and process documentation an asset. Experience in a University environment preferred.
