HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Dryden Board Office
Full Time – 35 hours/week – 12 months per year
$44,567-$68,565 (under review)

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Officer will assist in: interpretation and application of all collective agreements; recruitment, selection and hiring; policy and procedure development; personnel record keeping; collective bargaining preparation; WSIB and Occupational Health and Safety; Attendance Support and all other related human resources functions as required. Dependent upon specific areas of qualifications/experience the Officer will have responsibility for specific areas of focus as determined by the Human Resources Manager in consultation with the Superintendent of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma, valid Class G drivers’ licence and a post-secondary degree and/or diploma in Human Resources is required with a Human Resources Designation and/or the ability to obtain same. A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources would be an asset. A sound knowledge of human resource management practices and related legislation is essential. Knowledge of the public education system is an asset. The following attributes are necessary: excellent office skills; ability to deal with tact and sound judgement in oral and written communications with staff and the public; the ability to organize and complete work assignments with minimum supervision; the ability to work independently in a team environment while meeting strict deadlines; excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; tact and confidentiality are required.
