Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada (GGC) empowers every girl in Guiding to discover herself and be everything she wants to be. GGC is where girls take the lead, put their ideas into action and jump into awesome activities – all with the support of volunteer Guiders who are committed to positively impacting their lives. GGC is actively searching for an outstanding HR Business Partner (internally called Employee Experience Business Partner).

 

The HR Business Partner is an employee champion and change agent who assesses and anticipates all people-related needs for assigned client portfolios to enable employees to achieve GGC’s mission and strategic priorities, while delivering the service commitment to Wow the girl, Make it easy and Ensure safe space.

This role will include, but is not limited to strategically supporting and leading people leaders through the employee experience by providing day to day leadership, support and coaching to people leader on HR matters, creating people plans (restructures, workforce planning, talent mapping and succession planning) for respective portfolios and functional areas, providing recommendations and implementing programs which cultivate a positive and engaged workforce, building trusting and respectful relationships with stakeholders and team members, and more.

The model candidate will have educational credential (post-secondary) and 5+ years’ of successful, results oriented experience as an HR Business Partner in an environment experiencing significant change, proven ability to apply relevant policies, guidelines and legislation with knowledge of employment related legislation (e.g., ESA, Human Rights, AODA, OHSA), superior communication, customer service and problem solving skills, the ability to establish and maintain collaborative, credible and trusting relationships and partnership with individuals across the organization, a high level of personal integrity, respect for confidentiality and the ability to exercise sound judgement, the commitment to continual improvement of self and processes, and the desire to contribute effectively to a growing team as well as work successfully independently, proficiency with MS Office (Office 365), and thrives in an environment of change.

Previous working experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset, but not required.
