We are looking for someone who is passionate about building organizational capability, is highly innovative and pushes the envelope while being politically astute. 

As a strategic member of our Leadership and Talent Management team you will be the program lead for our Leading People through Change approach, Leadership assessments as well as other talent management initiatives as required.

Job Summary:

Lead the research, design, development and execution of Leadership and Talent Management programs and customized organizational development solutions to build organizational capability and improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Major Responsibilities:

Assess, design, develop and implement Leadership and Talent Management  programs and solutions that represent best practices in the industry contextualized to WSIB’s needs (initiatives may include: Leading
People through Change, Leadership Assessments, Performance Management, Succession Planning).

  • Project manage all aspects of the design, development, implementation and measurement of programs using the appropriate WSIB processes
  • Facilitate workshops and enterprise wide learning opportunities and/or Talent discussions
  • Manage procurement processes and vendor relationships for leadership assessment vendors
  • Consult with stakeholders to determine needs, make recommendations, provide feedback and support
  • Proactively assess and diagnose organizational needs relative to business performance gaps
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and significant SME knowledge in order to link talent strategies to business goals.
  • Maintain current industry best practices, including new thinking and new approaches.
  • Develop strong lines of communication and trust with program partners. 
  • Leverage data analytics to forecast trends and provide proactive advice/recommendations on talent interventions to support strategic goals
  • Maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors. 

    What we are looking for in you:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following relevant disciplines:, Human resources management, Organizational Behaviour, Adult education
  • Solid experience in Performance Consulting
  • 5-8 years of progressive Talent Management (Leadership Development design and facilitation, Learning, Procurement and Vendor management. Additional experience with Succession Planning, Performance Management, and Career Management) and internal consultation experience working with leaders
  • Preferred: CHRL Designation, Coaching Certification. Strong vendor management skills
  • Demonstration of WSIB’s core competencies: Drive for Results, Dealing with Change & Ambiguity, Personal Learning, Customer Focus, Business Acumen
