HR Consultant (Contract)

ROLE SUMMARY

The HR Consultant will partner with WCG’s VP People & Performance and HR team to develop and execute a recruitment strategy for WCG’s potential expansion into Ontario.  This will include working with Service Design Consultants and other senior management to develop and finalize job descriptions based on WCG’s service delivery model.  The HR Consultant will lead WCG’s recruitment efforts in Ontario, helping to position WCG as an employer of choice and conduct full scale recruitment for key management roles.  Additionally, the HR Consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment standards and other established guidelines.  Finally, the HR Consultant will work with senior management to establish and articulate KPIs for WCG employees in Ontario and to develop a strong, measurable, performance management framework in support of KPIs.  This is a contract position to commence in November 2019.

QUALIFICATIONS

A post-secondary degree in a related field and five+ years of progressive generalist experience in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience; extensive knowledge of employment legislation and current employment best practices; must have a passion for excellence; demonstrated ability to influence; outstanding oral and written communication and problem solving abilities; ability to drive results; strong customer relationship skills; team player and a self-starter with ability to work independently; The completion of or working towards a CHRP or CHRL designation would be considered and asset.
