HR Professional Advisory Board Member
Brief Overview
The HR Professional advisory board member will commit to the long-term interests of our organization and will guide future strategic business decisions. This role will contribute a high level of expertise and knowledge in growing the organization. The right individual must be willing to apply one's experiences to the Advisory Board's decision-making process and be in line with the vision, purpose and values of the organization.
Key Functions & Duties:
- Actively participate in regularly scheduled Advisory meetings.
- Read materials distributed prior to the meetings and share experiences and expertise during Advisory discussions.
- Support decisions that are arrived at by the Board and ensure that confidential information shared in meetings is held in confidence.
- Establish and review operational polices contributing to the organization’s mission and strategic direction.
- Provide candid constructive feedback on all aspects of the business.
- A willingness to assist in setting and achieving the organization's goals, and the ability to devote the time necessary to attend and participate in Advisory meetings.
Qualifications
- A former CHRO or an equivalent HR business leader of a large organization.
- Be an active member in good standing with the HRPA and hold a CHRE designation.
- Must have a clear understanding and previous experience serving on a board.
- Have a history of senior professional achievements and proven success within an organization.
- Previous knowledge and experience working in a high growth organization with a rapidly changing environment is preferred.
