The Opportunity
This person will report directly to the Talent Lead and partner closely with McDonald’s corporate staff and business leads on all recruitment efforts. The selected individual must have recruiting experience in a large, corporate environment and have a passion for full-cycle corporate recruiting. You need to possess the ability to manage the recruitment process and expectations. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Helps forecast staffing needs associated with strategic plans and goals.
  • Builds business relationships with key Client Groups, candidates, and HR Business Partners.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and implement sourcing strategies to include a variety of methods in attracting top talent.
  • Recruit, source, screen, and interview candidates according to our Talent Acquisition Process.
  • Research and recommend recruitment strategies for various unique or difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Be a brand ambassador and partner with external agencies for hiring needs when required.
  • Continue to develop third party partnerships with Universities and Colleges and develop non-traditional recruiting channels.
  • Comprehensive compensation knowledge as it relates to designing offers and attracting new hires. Strong negotiator and influencing abilities to close offers.
  • Researches, develops and presents recruiting plans for key field positions (e.g. bi-weekly matrix updates).
  • Provides support for management and staff recruiting through sourcing and screening candidates.
  • New Hire Orientation and Onboarding – facilitate onboarding process, lead new hire coffee sessions with Leadership, survey new hires and analyze/present results, etc.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • University degree related to human resources, a CHRP designation will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in an HR recruitment role with a proven track record of successful human resource client partnering experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in staffing and talent management and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with hiring managers and influence recruiting decisions cross-functionally.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, marketing and influencing skills, presentation skills, time management skills, and analytical abilities.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is required
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices and policies.
