  • Manage In coordination with the HR Manager the Recruiting and On-Boarding process for all new employees inclusive of one-day Rev up Program.
  • Administer employee recognition program (OC Tanner)
  • Manages the Health Benefits/RRSP Enrollment on a monthly basis, explaining the benefit packages and making sure they sign proper paperwork
  • Manages the Performance Review process
  • Schedules required training for employees and follows up with employees and managers to ensure training is completed, this includes but not limited to ARC, HR Downloads.
  • Manages and reviews OMVIC renewals and EE Drivers Abstracts
  • Completes management reports including but not limited to HR Management Monthly Reports new hires, transfers, terminations, management changes.
  • In coordination with the HR Manager organize and plan company events
  • Knows and understands the federal, provincial and local requirements which govern the company’s business and human resources management
  • In coordination with Payroll maintains records for leave eligibility including but not limited to vacations, holidays, PTO sick leave and any required provincial or federal required leave eligibility.
  • Manage all appropriate paperwork for Accidents/Injury Reporting both internally and externally
  • Manage and participate in monthly workplace inspections
  • Maintain all Health & Safety Boards with compliant postings
  • Plan and Chair quarterly Joint Health & Safety Committee Meetings inclusive of posting minutes.
  • Manage all JHSC recommendations ensuring completion and responses.
  • Manage and arrange all Health & Safety Training including First Aid, Fork Lift etc ensuring compliance
  • Review and Update Health & Safety Manual as require but no less than annually
  • Visit all branches quarterly with KPA representative
  • Set up KPA training and upload safety minutes to site.
  • Order all safety supplies
  • Participate in Rev Up presentation for Health & Safety
  • Responsible for obtaining all contractors WSIB & liability information
