As part of the Human Resources leadership team, the Manager of Human Resources is responsible for leading the management of human resources functions including recruitment and onboarding, compensation and benefits, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and training and development. This is a middle management position. The incumbent will contribute to the overall development of the Association and will participate in setting priorities and achieving Association goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Acts as the lead staff on Job Classification Committees;
- Maintains the Association’s Pay Equity Plans;
- Works with the Director to develop and implement employee recognition and engagement programs;
Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Management
- Responsible for the overall management of the HRIS; creates and implements all HR related modules in Dayforce HCM;
- Liaises with payroll to develop a workflow to ensure system integration and compatibility;
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Provides support and advice to Managers throughout the recruitment process;
- Supports Managers to implement the Recruitment and Selection guidelines for the Association;
- Oversees the implementation of YWCA Toronto’s Onboarding Program;
Training and Development
- Responsible for overseeing the implementation of association wide training programs; makes recommendation for training programs and facilitators and participates in training design;
Administrative Management
- Assists the Director of Human Resources in the revision, development and implementation of human resources and administration policies and procedures;
- In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources, ensures compliance with employment related legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth knowledge of Human Resources Management normally acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management or Labour Relations (Cases for Equivalency will be considered);
- Must have at least three to five years of progressive human resources experience in a unionized environment including experience in recruitment, compensation administration (including job evaluation) and HRIS;
- Experience supervising and managing staff
- Strong working knowledge of employment related legislation
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with HRIS - knowledge of Dayforce HCM a definite asset;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
- Exceptional communication, verbal and written skills;
- Advanced ability to research and analyse complex concepts and plan strategically;
- Superior organizational and administrative skills;
- Superior knowledge of current computer applications including word processing and spreadsheet software;
- Proven ability to work from an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed framework;
- Knowledge of and willingness to support feminist values, services focused on the needs of women and girls, and access and equity issues.
