Prism currently has an exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist to join the team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting our teams by providing guidance, support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of HR policies, procedures and practices and in all matters related to the full employee life cycle.   We are looking for an innovative individual who sees HR as a strategic investment and who can drive the department to new heights.  and provide guidance on the newest and latest on staff and physician retention and engagement.

Accountabilities for this role include:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process;
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment programs;
  • Revise and roll out internal recruitment process; and
  • Manage the onboarding process for all new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Support, coach and counsel front line supervision in employee relation and legislative matters;
  • Identify and resolve employee relations issues. Provide guidance to managers and mediate workplace conflict resolution;
  • Assist in further developing a positive culture;
  • Manage employee performance review process; and
  • Coordinate training and development programs.

HR Planning:

  • Develop and implement human resources plans, policies, procedures, and goals; and
  • Work with leadership on projects, policy development and implementation of HR initiatives.

Benefits and HR Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures;
  • Plan Administrator for Group Health Benefits Plan; and
  • Maintain Human Resource Information System records and provide various monthly reports and dashboards for management.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety.

Education or Experience

  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management with CHRP or designation in progress with a minimum of 3-5 years direct experience.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of applicable legislation.
  • Solid interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to interact with people in all levels of the organization.
  • Systems literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong initiative and judgement skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel between clinics is required (Oakville, Brampton, North York)
