The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is looking to hire an experienced Human Resources professional to lead our HR strategy and operations in the areas of talent acquisition, job classification, HR policies/programs, workplace investigations and more. As a pivotal member of the OCSB Human Resources team, your knowledge and experience will be instrumental in supporting a thriving organization where you will have the opportunity to engage with all employees. This newly created role will report to the Manager of Human Resources. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Partner with HR Officers and organizational leaders to understand talent needs and to develop responsive talent acquisition strategies. Proactively reach out to external partners to expand talent sources.
  • Implement and maintain job classification processes, policies and other initiatives to meet legislative requirements and corporate goals. This includes the management of the job evaluation and pay equity programs.
  • Act as an internal investigator for workplace investigations.
  • Lead projects and initiatives that have an impact on HR programs and the employee experience.
  • Manage the review or introduction of HR policies to ensure alignment with our organizational  mission, goals and culture.
  • Support a strong labour relations environment through collaboration with employees, management and union partners.
  • Lead and develop the Staffing team.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER:

  • University degree together with a Human Resources professional designation.  
  • 10 years’ experience in progressive Human Resources roles, including prior leadership experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • A results-oriented approach to getting work done.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide sound advice, influence others and build effective relationships.
  •  Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to propose integrated solutions to complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) will be considered an asset.

This is a full time permanent position with an annual salary range of $81,073 - $103,297 (under review).  A comprehensive employee benefits package is provided.
