KBRS has partnered with Acadian Timber in the recruitment of their next Director of Human Resources.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Director of Human Resources is a key member of the Management Team and leads Acadian Timber in effectively promoting excellence in the delivery of human resource services. As the Director of Human Resources, you will have primary day-to-day responsibility to oversee human resource planning and strategy development; employee and faculty relations; policy development and implementation; training, professional development, and performance management; recruitment, retention and succession planning initiatives; salary, benefit administration, payroll services, compliance reporting; and occupational health and safety.

As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned human resources leader with proven leadership experience and understanding of the broad range of HR functions from within a complex environment. You are an adaptable and dynamic leader with a reputation for fostering a work environment characterized by respect, collaboration, inclusivity, and productivity at all levels. You have demonstrated your ability to ensure an organization has strong retention and succession plans in place and is appropriately staffed with the right people in the right positions. You are a master of negotiations and able to navigate labour relations maters with tact and strategy to achieve positive outcomes. You are skilled at leading organizational change in a manner that fosters collaboration among organizational stakeholders and achieves the strategic objectives of your organization. As an inclusive leader, you have extensive knowledge of safety, security and environmental regulations and have the capability to develop, implement and champion value based HSE programs. You can generate insights, alternatives and strategic plans that have potential to produce value for the company. Your superior communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to act as a spokesperson allows you to communicate your vision to a variety of internal and external stakeholders to get all parties on board.
