We’re looking for a leader who is humble, hungry, and curious. Is that you?

Do you lead with a people-first lens and inspire and motivate others to do the same? Do you have particular expertise in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) and employee well-being?   Do you have all your “Human Resources” skills and experiences but eschew old-school HR?

If you’re looking to join an organization with an engaged and committed workforce, but one that is emotionally spent and needing a leader to help us foster a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and healthy, keep reading.

With nearly 1,300 full and part-time staff, our people are our greatest asset. We know that an engaged, valued, and motivated workforce is required to deliver our mission.

If you’re ready to take on a regional role in a large, multi-faceted and complex organization, you’ve found the right place. As Canada’s newest Y, the result of a merger, we are embarking on a new strategic plan and we intend to put our people, equity, and well-being at the forefront of that plan and we’ll need your help to make that happen.

In addition to leading an amazing and dedicated People team, we’ll ask you to help us develop a comprehensive EDI strategy and action plan, enhance our efforts to put employee well-being at the centre of our work, create a comprehensive leadership development strategy, and oversee the integration of a newly merged organization from a people perspective.

We need a strategic thinker and passionate advocate for people, culture, equity and well-being.   We also need someone unafraid to roll up their sleeves to help us get to where we need to be.

This is your chance to support a team, develop strategy, and deliver ongoing results that are measured by the people we serve, the lives we change, and the sense of belonging we build in our communities.

Our purpose as a charity is to make our diverse communities healthier and more vibrant. With dignity and respect, our programs and services inspire individuals to reach their full potential.

As the VP of People, Equity, and Well-being, you will report directly to the CEO, and be an instrumental member of our Senior Leadership Team.

We can’t wait to meet you.
