Your opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, the Payroll & HRM Analyst is an experienced payroll professional who will perform technical, analytical and administrative functions for delivery and processing of payroll and benefits under Ceridian Dayforce HCM.

Your responsibilities:

  • Prepares 3rd party vendor payments and remittances for payroll (such as provincial WCB, Union Dues)
  • Assist with all payroll filings and year end payroll compliance reporting
  • Investigates and resolves any employee pay or electronic time clock issues
  • Assists with completion of all internal and external payroll audits
  • Prepares ad hoc and standard reports for various internal stakeholders
  • Services plan member inquiries under group retirement or benefits
  • Learns full system capabilities, understands impact of Dayforce upgrades and tests system for all new functionalities
  • Performs HR imports as directed.
  • Maintains the accuracy and reliability of centralized electronic employee data and payroll records
  • A resource who understands and interprets the application of company policies and practices

What you Bring to the Role:

  • Post-secondary Education - University and/or College in Human Resources
  • Payroll certification or working towards payroll designation, PCP
  • Minimum 3 years progressive working knowledge and experience in payroll, HRM, and benefits
  • Demonstrated focus on execution and follow up
  • Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail in documenting system work flows, analyzing and re-engineering to simplify internal payroll HRM process
  • Advanced level MS Excel
  • Able to work in a fast paced, team environment, multi task between many priorities
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable
  • Experience working under a union environment an asset
  • Bilingualism (English/ French) an asset
