HR Generalist
We are looking for a creative HR Generalist to join our small, but mighty HR team to support our strategic and administrative initiatives. Consumer Packaged Goods facility.
Responsibilities
- Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation
- Recruit and advise hiring managers of recruitment status and processes
- Interviewing/hiring/onboarding of potential candidates
- Administrative tasks such as performing background checks, filing paperwork, completing employee documentation, recording data on each current employee; maintaining and filing paperwork of terminated or exiting employees
- Oversee benefits administration and act as backup as needed
- Update online job posting, select most effective job posting locations
- Coordinate HR projects such as meetings or surveys
- Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
- Support Health and Safety Committee and Safety Coordinator
- Supervise Safety Coordinator and work closely with Payroll/Benefits Coordinator
- Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs, and education
- Help in payroll preparation when needed; provides documentation of employee absences, and vacation time
- Answer employee questions and address employee concerns with company; including employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
- Educate and advise on all applicable legislation and policies related to employee issues
- Drive employee training, development as well as discipline, as needed
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Draft of HR policies and procedures, keep policies up to date
- Drafts and distributes employee communications
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in HR
- 3-5 years HR experience
- Well-developed sense of ethics and confidentiality
