Position Summary
The Vice President Human Resources is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reports to the President/CEO and supports the work of the LWHA board. The VP Human Resources works in collaboration with other members of the senior team to plan and develop strategic directions for the organization, and oversees the human resources functions of two rural, acute care hospitals with 400 staff members plus student educational placements and volunteers. You will have senior leadership accountability for strategic HR, Organizational Development and Organizational Effectiveness. Through a team of 7 you will oversee: workforce planning; talent management (recruitment and retention); learning organization including knowledge management; performance development and succession planning; hours of work and leaves of absence; scheduling services, total compensation; employee engagement; labour relations with 5 Unions; diversity, equity and inclusion; organizational health, wellness and safety; end of employment.
Knowledge/Education
A Bachelors degree and a CHRL designation are required.

Bargaining experience is an asset as you will serve as the lead for negotiations for five bargaining teams.
Experience
You have 7 years of progressively responsible HR experience in health care with a minimum of 5 years at a management level.
