The University of Toronto (U of T) seeks an outcomes-driven leader for the position of Manager, Digital Workforce & Analytics in the Division of HR & Equity. With ongoing recognitions from national surveys including Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers, and Canada’s Top 100 Employers, U of T offers a wonderful environment for an experienced technology and data professional to continue their impactful work. For more information about the University, visit https://www.utoronto.ca/.

The Manager, Digital Workforce & Analytics will work closely with colleagues across HR & Equity, Information Technology Services, the Offices of Institutional Research & Data Governance and Business Intelligence, and other portfolios throughout the institution to transform the employee experience at the University. A big-picture thinker and doer, the incumbent will help identify and implement systems and tools to streamline HR processes—pan University—and will lead the production, analysis and interpretation of employee data used for strategic workforce planning. Working collaboratively with the Executive Director, HR Transformation & Analytics, the new Manager will provide strategic support to the Division of HR & Equity in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and advanced predictive data analytics.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned data steward and project manager—someone with demonstrated experience in the areas of data and technology, and a reputation for effectively interpreting the story behind information gathered. The person who will realize success in the role has or will develop a sophisticated understanding of the post-secondary environment, and will be a reliable and strategic resource to colleagues across the University’s tri-campus system. As faculty, staff, and students of U of T work hard to maintain the institution’s highly collegial and inclusive environment, the Manager must genuinely exhibit values of collaboration, diversity, inclusivity, and respect—in all their forms—be highly ethical in all aspects in their work and activities, and have a track record of working in partnership with a wide range of individuals. A university degree is sought, particularly in a quantitative discipline, and the equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered. A CHRP designation would be seen as an asset.

The University of Toronto is strongly committed to diversity within its community and especially welcomes applications from racialized persons / persons of colour, women, Indigenous / Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ persons, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas. In accordance with the AODA Act, accommodation will be provided throughout the recruitment process to applicants with disabilities.

The University of Toronto invites applications from all qualified candidates; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority. The University is partnering with BIPOC Executive Search as well as Odgers Berndtson on this assignment to ensure a broad and diverse list of candidate applications. Interested candidates can send their resume to Jason Murray at jmurray@bipocsearch.com or to uoftdwa@odgersberndtson.com

We thank everyone for their expression of interest and are truly appreciative of the time individuals put into applying; however, with the limitations of time only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
