IMCO is looking for a highly motivated Culture and Diversity Advisor to join our Team!

This is an exceptional opportunity for a champion of workplace culture, inclusion, equity and diversity to join the Human Resources team and play a critical role within IMCO.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Talent and Engagement, this position will lead IMCO’s Diversity & Inclusion and workplace culture strategies, building on the foundation and momentum that the organization has been engaging in over the past 12 months. You will develop, coordinate and deliver programs, policies, and initiatives through measurable and action-oriented plans that support IMCO’s commitment to a healthy and inclusive workplace culture.

As a member of our Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and directing programs and strategies that will encourage diversity, promote equity, inclusion, and support the psychological safety of all employees.
  • Providing independent counsel, advice, and perspective to the Human Resources, Senior Executive and management team in connection to these topics.
  • Executing new and existing business plans and initiatives ensuring robust change management and communication plans are in place.
  • Curating experiences that produce desired culture and stated I&D aspirations.
  • Strategic governance, oversight, and operation of IMCO’s employee-led Diversity and Inclusion council.
  • Leading IMCO’s I&D Student Internship strategy, program and maintenance in partnership with the appropriate business partners and outreach agencies.
  • Facilitating virtual or in-class Culture or Inclusion related training sessions to the IMCO organization.
  • Designing net new or converting existing content to e-learning modules for blended programs.
  • Assisting with self-disclosure demographic profiles and data collection for HR team.
  • Conducting research into best practices and other leading organizations, making recommendations to support strategy advancement, refinement and implementation.
  • Measuring, tracking, and analyzing the effectiveness of I&D initiatives, reporting on progress and identifying opportunities for future areas of focus/improvement to be included in annual business planning process.
  • Influencing multiple and varied stakeholders at various levels across the organization to achieve I&D goals.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with outreach agencies and educational institutions when required.
  • Partnering with the Talent Acquisition Team in order to enable and equip recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers with the tools, training, and resources required to attract a diverse talent pool, and to set diverse candidates up for success in the hiring process.
  • Developing Diversity and Inclusion dashboard with key metrics and ensure year over year growth.

What you need to succeed:

  • 8+ years of HR, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a relevant field
  • Demonstrated understanding and relevant experience in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Practices with the ability to take pedagogical and theoretical ideas into relevant and practical application
  • Engaging facilitation experience in delivering to Senior Leaders both remote and in-person
  • Design experience with the ability to create, share and track e-learning experiences 
  • Workday LMS experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of and experience with needs assessment, strategy, coalition building, and implementation of creative approaches
  • Effective project and time management capabilities and organizational skills, with proven ability to meet strict and competing deadlines, for multiple projects, in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful experience working closely with senior-level and executive leaders
  • An energetic and resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently and with teams
  • Client-focused, open to incorporating others' ideas, and accepting constructive criticism
  • Open to changing directions, adopting new practices or learning something new
