Job Description


Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, the Recruitment Coordinator will coordinate the full cycle recruitment process for Personal Support Workers. As the first point of contact for interaction with candidates, the Recruitment Coordinator will require strong customer service, consultation and assessment skills.  The Recruitment Coordinator manages a high volume of new hire documentation requiring organization, attention to detail and a sense of urgency.  The Recruitment Coordinator will build support for Circle of Care and the HR departments’ strategic goals and objectives by communicating, collaborating and leading by example.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare and post advertisements to various job boards and Agency website
  • Participate in the organization and recruitment of candidates through internal/external Career Fairs, Information Sessions etc. and identify other career events and creative sources that offer recruiting opportunities
  • Use applicant tracking system (Dayforce) to maintain and build candidate pipeline, shortlist candidate resumes, contact potential applicants to arrange phone screens, assess candidate for interview recommendation and schedule interviews
  • Work with hiring managers and supervisors to co-ordinate and participate in the interview process to evaluate candidates
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of employment
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to recommend, develop and implement recruitment strategies to support the recruitment portfolio
  • Be responsible for the on-boarding process including preparing employment offers, creating digital new hire packages and coordinating all new hire activities to facilitate positive employee experiences
  • Actively participate in the facilitation, training and organization of the new hire orientation as needed
  • Facilitate a positive candidate experience through timely communication, expectation setting and acting as a Circle of Care brand ambassador
  • Maintain strong recruitment metrics reporting and tracking as required
  • Provide assistance to the recruitment process for additional employee groups as needed (Administration, Customer Service)
  • Actively participate in HR Team, collaborate with, and provide solutions/support to team members and senior member in the department to achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Provide support to HR team on ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on recruitment
  • Human Resources Management Certificate is preferred
  • CHRP/CHRL certified or be working towards certification is an asset
  • Experience in the non-profit sector, unionized environment and/or community healthcare is an asset
  • Passion for influencing recruiting best practices and desire to act as a Brand Ambassador
  • Proven ability and effectiveness at managing large recruitment portfolios
  • Ability to develop creative solutions for recruiting challenges
  • Excellent analytical, oral, written, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
  • Ability to perform routine work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and applicant tracking systems
