Job Summary:

The HR Services Manager represents the human resources department to the internal clients, working with all employees to provide HR solutions to issues and challenges.  The HR Services Manager shares goals and objectives of the Human Resources Team as well as that of the internal client. They lead HR processes for the internal clients as all employees are hired, onboarding, workforce planning, performance and talent management, communication of programs.  They will manage, mentor and develop the regional HRBPs.

Major Job Functions: 

  • Communicate and partner with internal stakeholders the Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations are adhered to.
  • Partner with the business on employee experience strategy to promote positive employee relations.
  • Assist leadership with performance management and team engagement.
  • Participate in development of HR objectives, including ongoing metrics. 
  • Provide expert HR advice and coaching to internal clients.
  • Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations). 
  • Perform interviews, screens, and recruit for entry level, professional and technical job openings. 
  • Manage, mentor and develop the regional HRBPs.
  • Keep job descriptions current. 
  • Examine workplace conditions, including tools and equipment to ensure they conform to applicable safety standards both physical and emotional. 

Requirement/Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in a Human Resources field or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a human resources department with similar responsibilities.
  • Data analysis skills required.
  • Basic research skills required.
  • Ability to influence all levels of the business
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead and inspire remote teams 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to ensure the business understands the programs and the expectations from them in regard to these programs.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures as well as governing laws regarding employment.

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of Employment Standards Acts.
  • Strong employee relations experience
  • Proven knowledge of employee management.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail required.

Accountability:

  • Ensure all business leaders are supported in relation to HR Programs.
  • Ensure all uncovered concerns are brought to the attention of the senior management team necessary.
